Your trust is the foundation of every rupee raised. Here is exactly how we handle your information.

AGKSFOUNDATION ("we", "us", "our"), a charitable trust registered in India, operates the website agksfoundation.com and the donation platform hosted on it. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website or donating to us, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

a. Information you give us directly

  • Donation details: full name, email, mobile number, PAN, postal address, donation amount and frequency.
  • Volunteer / member forms: name, contact details, city, skills, availability and message.
  • Communications: emails, contact-form messages and newsletter subscriptions.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device, browser, IP address, referrer URL and pages visited (used only for analytics and security).
  • Cookies and similar technologies that help the site function and remember your preferences.

c. Payment information

Card, UPI, wallet and net-banking details are collected and processed directly by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partner Razorpay Software Private Limited. AGKSFOUNDATION never sees, stores or has access to your full card number, CVV or banking credentials.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process donations and issue 80G tax receipts.
  • File statutory reports (Form 10BD, FCRA where applicable) with the Income-Tax Department.
  • Send donation confirmations, receipts and impact updates.
  • Respond to enquiries, contact-form messages and volunteer applications.
  • Honour permanent members and donors on our public donor wall (unless you choose Gupt Daan).
  • Operate, secure and improve the website.

3. Legal Basis

We process personal data on the basis of (a) your consent given at the time of donation, form submission or subscription, (b) performance of the donation transaction, and (c) our legal obligations under Indian tax and charity laws.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Razorpay — to process payments.
  • Income-Tax Department of India — for 10BD / 80G reporting.
  • Auditors and regulators — for statutory compliance.
  • Service providers (email, hosting, analytics) bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Law enforcement — when required by a valid legal order.

5. Data Retention

Donation and 80G records are retained for at least eight (8) financial years as required by the Income-Tax Act, 1961. Newsletter and enquiry data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Server logs are retained for up to 12 months.

6. Security

The website is served over HTTPS. Payments use PCI-DSS certified gateways. Access to donor records is restricted to authorised trustees and staff, protected by role-based access controls and row-level database security. Despite our safeguards, no online transmission or storage is 100% secure — we ask you to inform us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

7. Your Rights

  • Access, correct or update your personal information.
  • Request deletion, subject to statutory retention obligations for donation records.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing or newsletter emails at any time.
  • Choose Gupt Daan (anonymous giving) so your name never appears on the public donor wall.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without verifiable parental consent.

9. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for the donation form and session, and privacy-respecting analytics cookies to understand site usage. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features (including donation checkout) may not work without them.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
