Refund Policy

Donations are voluntary charitable contributions. In genuine cases of mistake, we make it easy to get your money back.

AGKSFOUNDATION accepts donations in good faith and applies them towards its charitable objectives soon after receipt. This Refund Policy explains the limited situations in which a donation may be refunded and the process to request one.

1. General Principle

All donations made to AGKSFOUNDATION are treated as voluntary and non-refundablecharitable contributions. However, we recognise that genuine mistakes happen and have a transparent process to address them.

2. When Refunds May Be Granted

You may request a refund if any of the following occurred:

  • Duplicate donation — the same donation was charged more than once due to a technical error.
  • Incorrect amount — the amount charged is materially different from what you intended (e.g. an extra zero).
  • Unauthorised transaction — the donation was made by someone else using your payment credentials without your consent.
  • Failed service delivery — the payment was captured but no receipt was issued and no donation record was created on our side.

3. When Refunds Will Not Be Granted

  • Change of mind after a successful donation.
  • Requests made more than seven (7) days after the transaction, except for unauthorised transactions or duplicate charges.
  • Donations where an 80G receipt has already been claimed as a tax deduction.
  • Contributions made towards a specific completed program where funds have already been disbursed.

4. How to Request a Refund

Email agks@agksfoundation.in within seven (7) days of the transaction with:

  • Full name and mobile number used for the donation.
  • Donation amount and date.
  • Razorpay Payment ID or AGKSFOUNDATION receipt number.
  • Reason for the refund request.
  • Screenshot of the bank / UPI / card statement showing the debit (optional but speeds up processing).

5. Timelines

  • Acknowledgement: within 2 working days.
  • Decision: within 7 working days of receiving all required information.
  • Refund credit: if approved, credited to the original payment instrument within 5–10 working days by Razorpay. Actual credit time depends on your bank.

6. 80G Receipt Reversal

If a refund is issued, the corresponding 80G receipt is voided and the entry is reversed in our Form 10BD filing. You must not claim the refunded amount as a tax deduction. Providing a false declaration to the Income-Tax Department may attract penalties under the Income-Tax Act, 1961.

7. Payment Gateway Charges

In case of refund, the payment-gateway fees charged by Razorpay may not be recoverable. Where the refund is due to an error on our part or an unauthorised transaction, AGKSFOUNDATION will bear these charges. In other cases, the refund may be net of gateway charges.

8. Fraud & Chargebacks

Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us will be contested if the donation appears genuine in our records. Fraudulent chargeback attempts may be reported to the payment gateway and appropriate authorities.
